Back in November, a lovely woman named Christina contacted me via The Four Seasons and asked if I was interested in staycationing at their Beverly Hills location, in exchange for a contribution to their website. Hell yes, I was interested! There is nothing I love more than spooning in comfortable beds with my fam followed by hour long baths with Bvlgari products.

Unfortunately, as it so happens during the holiday season, we were unable to find a weekend that worked for all of us. I asked if Christina would be willing to raincheck for April/New York -- a trip we had had in the works since last summer. She kindly agreed to comp us for one night and discount our rate for the remainder of our stay (this way we were able to afford to stay all three nights here at the hotel). So far it's been worth every penny and in the words of Archer, "I'd be open-minded to the possibility of moving here."

I've had lots of fun memorable trips, but one I'm looking forward to is taking my niece to NYC to see her first Broadway show!

JessicaP | 6:45 PM

Someday I want to surprise my beloved by taking him and our children (when we have them) on a Great American Roadtrip like the one his parents took him on when he was a kid. There's only three states he's missed and I have thought out a few stops in each of those states that I think he will love.

Magnus23 | 6:49 PM

Most people I know want to go to sunny beachy locations. Because I live in sunny San Diego, I've always wanted to go to Iceland. The landscape looks incredible, moody and dramatic. I would love to bathe in the waters of the Blue Lagoon.

Lil Muse Lily | 6:53 PM

that sounds fab!
my favorite trip was in 2008 when Will and I rented a small apartment in Barcelona walking distance to everything. it was 4 days filled with magic!

Kathryn | 7:13 PM

I'd love to go to NY and pay my respects at Ground Zero to my dear girlfriend who died on Flight 175. It looks like a beautiful time of year to go! As for most memorable trip I have taken, it would be London, 2000, when I went on a 5-month-long study abroad program and lived in Kensington, just across from Kensington Palace. It was simply magical. I would transport myself to London any time, any day. I miss it.

My husband and I love to take road trips together. We like to alternate shifts while the other person sleeps lying down in the folded-flat backseat of our Subaru. One of my favorite memories with him is of me driving on our way to Portland, Oregon (from COS, CO) in the middle of an open, hilly road laid out ahead of us, while we listened to David Sedaris read "Me Talk Pretty One Day". The sky was black and I could see all the stars above us glowing, the road winding away ahead of us, leading us to our destination; my husband sleeping lightly in the backseat.

Feels like a little piece of heaven remembering that.

Most memorable trip was the first trip I took across the country with my husband....in our truck...during the winter.
It didn't turn out so bad because the small truck bed meant spooning every night which keep us very warm. Morning coffee and breath steaming, hikes in unusual places and one small black puppy. Good memories lead to better vacations.

Todd G. Brown | 7:36 PM

ohhh...our family loves the Keys. We stay about 50 miles from Key West. PURRFECT for us chilly Minnesotans.

Molika P. Ashford | 7:36 PM

I'll always remember our trip to the South Carolina coast this March.

Brittany H. | 7:46 PM

My most memorable trip was with my husband to Costa Rica. It is such an amazingly beautiful place with wonderful people. My favorite part was discovering all of the animals (sloths, monkeys, lizards, etc.).

Lisa | 7:48 PM

My most memorable trip was going to Ireland in 2009 with my aunt. (She's only about 7 years older than me and hates being called "aunt".)
I was going to go on my own, rent a car and drive around the whole island in a week. Ha! I'm glad I didn't. Instead, thanks to her research and planning we relaxed in a few places for a couple days each.
We stayed the longest in the North. We took a day long, 14km hike along the shore toward the Giant's Causeway.
The whole trip was incredible! The country is stunning! Greener than I ever imagined. I can't wait to go again... maybe I'll take my husband with me!

aprilmae | 7:48 PM

My most memorable trip was two summers ago road tripping through Croatia and Italy with my two best girlfriends, and I can't wait for our dive trip to Honduras this summer!

SinginMo | 7:54 PM

My first solo stay in a Seattle hostel, visiting the public market in the morning and saying hello to the Pacific ocean.

Mom101 | 7:57 PM

You had me at "we could move here." My city! Yay!

Just today I was telling the girls I can't wait to take them to Paris one day soon. Then we tried to think of French words they already know. I said "bonjour."

Thalia said "Ooh lala I lost my bra."

Close.

Unknown | 7:59 PM

The trip I eagerly await is taking my son to London - he's wanted to go since he was 3. In the meantime he's patiently waiting, growing up on photos from my business trips to various cities - most recently NYC - "Mommy take a picture out your hotel room window so I can see if I want to go there someday..."

Addie | 8:09 PM

I have lofty goals of becoming a certified nurse midwife- some day I would absolutely LOVE the opportunity to travel abroad with Doctors Without Boarders. In the meantime, I enjoy hearing other's travel stories while I work hard to pay off my school debt :)

Lauren | 8:16 PM

My favorite trip was about 6 or 7 years ago with my family when we went on a trip to Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks. I'm going to Italy in June with my bf and I'm hoping that it will be just as memorable!

missamandabear | 8:24 PM

My most memorable adventure (it cannot be called a vacation) was our honeymoon to Burning Man while I was 5 weeks pregnant. We planned the trip before I got pregnant, then I simply had to survive since we'd planned it. It was great!

Unknown | 8:34 PM

My sister and I are taking a trip to London and Paris in August! It is my sisters dream to see Paris and I can't wait to see my friend get married in London!

Stacy | 8:42 PM

3 friends, 1 two door honda, 28 hours to vegas in July with no air conditioning. Memorable and fun!

Right now I'd love a "trying for baby" vacation. I keep hearing that everyone gets pregnant on vacation due to the lack of stress. As we have been trying for over a year I would love to have a vacation with a tiny bundle as the 9 months later souvenir!

Amanda | 8:52 PM

My most memorable trip was to NYC with my husband 6 years ago. Our twins were 6 months old (too early for us to travel in hindsight) and we left them with our parents. We missed them terribly, but we had the best time reconnecting and enjoying each other.

Sarah | 8:53 PM

Like so many, one recent fabulous trip was my honeymoon. We were lucky to go to Australia for two weeks. The best part--sleep! No 4 hour commutes or craziness. We were unplugged and loving it!

Anonymous | 9:01 PM

Homer/Ninilchik, AK! Clamming in the morning in an old Russian village and beach bumming in the afternoons (and camping in the long grasses)...

Annie | 9:12 PM

Probably my most memorable trip was a 5 day getaway to Sardinia while I had been studying abroad in London. I was with 8 friends, and it was our last trip before returning to "real life". We stayed in a beach side mobile home, rode bikes, ate gelato, swam in the ocean and talked in fake accents the entire time :)

Elizabeth | 9:20 PM

I would love to go to Paris with my husband...we never got to honeymoon, as we had a one year old at the time, and found out we were pregnant with our 2nd soon after our wedding. Someday, we'll go there, kids in tow.

Kelly Lira | 9:25 PM

Best trip ever: Yosemite. Even in the uncomfortableness of a tent. One of the best places on Earth.

Wading Patiently | 9:50 PM

Most memorable trip - definitely Sydney, Australia... I want to move there someday! Our first year anniversary is coming up and we'd love to spend some time in NYC!!! joannawade1 (at) gmail (dot) com

Destinee | 9:52 PM

I went on a "road trip" to look at colleges last summer. My Mom and I drove the West Coast in our little rental car. It was beautiful and sunny and wonderful to get out of Alaska. After that I flew to Colorado and New York, to look at schools again. Seeing so many different parts of the country, being out of the cold, and spending three weeks away from my (lovely but over crowding) 7 siblings/step siblings was possibly the most glorious event of my measly 18 years, thus far.

ACG | 9:56 PM

My most memorable trip thus far was the first weekend away I spent with my then boyfriend/now husband at a very, very rustic cabin in the mountains. Not the most luxurious, but by far the most adventurous.

Techno Angel | 10:02 PM

For me, it was when I went to Hawaii with 7 of my family members to spread my parents ashes. Sad, but since we hadn't ever taken a vacation as a family, it was so memorable and had such purpose. I couldn't have done it without my family's support and that meant the world to me!

Celeste M. | 10:02 PM

It would have to be my honeymoon to Argentina. We spent a week or so exploring the interior of the country...the second and third largest cities (Cordoba and Rosario)...before venturing to Buenos Aires, where we rented an apartment for a week. (Highly recommended!) I only regret that we saved going out to a tango club for our final night there.

SWC | 10:07 PM

My boyfriend and I fell in love on a work trip to Scotland together. Probably my happiest memory of being overseas. It was a magical time and a wonderful trip.

Shannon | 10:18 PM

We took the kids to Maui last June and I didn't want to come home either! they are such a joy to travel with at these ages and the hotel excitement is infectious.
I stayed at the 4 seasons Aviara with my parents when I was in high school and remember them doing the sponges for my little brother! Would love to take my kids back there someday.

Kristen | 10:25 PM

I'm looking forward to a trip I've been wanting to take for years - the husband and I + my parents + my brother and sis-in-law are going to Europe for 2-1/2 weeks this summer! My husband needs a vacation *badly*.

Unknown | 10:28 PM

One I'm planning for later (after the kids can ride bikes for long periods) is a bike tour in France. Our family is from there, and we all love to eat -- there are tour companies that carry your luggage and arrange all the restaurants and hotels, so all you have to do is bike and eat and rest. Sounds like heaven!

Leslie | 10:34 PM

I think my most favorite trip was one we took to Minneapolis in the summer of 2008 to go see my brother.

Amy P | 10:48 PM

My most memorable trip is the one I am on currently. Me, my husband and son are in Kuala Lumpur for 3 months. While it is not a vacation (mama is working)is has been amazing just the same.

Arissamasi | 11:07 PM

I would love to go on an official honeymoon with my husband! France would be perfect.

Taryn | 11:12 PM

Backpacking around Europe with my best mate when we were 20. Totally rocked. Now I want to create awesome memories with my husband and boys. I'm in Australia so not sure if I can apply. Good luck and happy travels to the winner!!

Trysha | 11:46 PM

We hope to drive from New Mexico to Detroit this summer. I am totally excited to drive the kids across the country (and fly home).

Maleeha | 11:46 PM

Love the pics! My most memorable trip was when I went to Hawaii with my husband. We were a couple of just married 23 yr old kids who had scrounged up every penny of our paychecks to afford to go. And I'm so glad we did. It was a little piece of heaven and a lifetime of memories.

Also, I moved to the US from Pakistan when I was 10. Every trip back to see my grandparents, uncles/aunts/cousins has been memorable in its own special way!

Ruckus' Girl | 12:27 AM

I have lots and lots of memorable trips - but my most recent is the one i'd like to hold on to for a bit. My parents have a condo in Tucson - total snowbirds, if you're wondering. I spent 5 days there a week ago to begin repairing a broken heart. I don't know what it is, but there's something about the desert that helps me 'center' - and I began to feel myself again. I suppose it also helped that my ma was there to take care of me, wipe away my tears, and bring me mimosa refills.

Mammy P | 12:30 AM

Our most memorable trip was our honeymoon. We didn't have a lot of money so we went to the Lake District in the north west of England (about 2 hours drive from our house.) We stayed in a B&B for 5 days, and it absolutely bucketed down with torrential rain for 4 of the days. We cuddled under a golf umbrella and wandered around the little villages, gorging ourselves on local cheeses and pub grub. 9 years and two boys later, that is the only trip we've ever took just the two of us!

So glad you enjoyed your holiday!

SEC | 12:37 AM

Alaska for our honeymoon was my most memorable trip. I really want to take a trip to the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

Unknown | 1:42 AM

I went to Prince Edward Island for my honeymoon. I'd watched the Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea TV movie series more times than I can count - and wept from the sheer beauty of the landscape on every single viewing. To finally stand atop those sand dunes was pure magic. :)

Bekka Ross Russell | 1:52 AM

Just got back from six months in Tanzania, working at an orphanage - I would love the voucher, not for myself, but to raise money for the kids - the staff make about $60 per month, on average, which isn't enough to get by even in TZ.

meredyth | 3:20 AM

We are getting married in July and hoping to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. So far that will be our biggest trip together, although we did a road trip last summer that consisted of nine days (mostly driving) from DC to NC to SC to Alabama. We saw family, enjoyed a beach with my aunts, uncles and cousins and spent time with his parents while his dad went through chemo. Parts of the trip were unpleasant but overall it brought us closer together and let to us getting married (and Hawaii!)

Unknown | 4:31 AM

So far my most memorable trip was to Tennessee. Hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains, grilling in the evening on our wrap around rented deck, seeing baby bears, and taking too many photos. Right after that is the first time we took our daughter to the Brooklyn Zoo, so cute.

Shera | 4:57 AM

One of the most memorable trips I've taken was on my honeymoon in the Smokies. Gorgeous, gorgeous and I got to be there for my hubby's first ever bear-sighting. You've never seen a picnic site (& two people) cleared to the car faster!

sam | 5:27 AM

My most memorable trip was a 2 week stay in Peru. My husband is a native Peruvian and it was my first time going with him to meet his extended family. I am looking forward to going back again in the next couple of years and doing more touristy stuff. Maybe learn a little spanish before then, too, that might help. :)

You have a beautiful family, Rebecca. It makes me smile to see photos of you all so happy!

Mrs. Melberry | 5:46 AM

My husband and I love staycations. One of our best was a trip to Columbus (about an hour from where we live) a few years ago. We went to a hockey game, his band played a show at a bar that is attached to a pizza place (with FANTASTIC pizza, mind you) and we spent two days swimming and lazing about. It was fantastic.

Sarah | 5:48 AM

Mine would have to be a 6 week long Euro backpacking trip I took after college graduation with my 2 friends. It was amazing to experience Europe for that long! Can't beat backpacking :)

the king of carrot flowers | 5:48 AM

our favorite destination is the windy city and I am pretty positive that a prize like this would have us spending a long weekend in Chicago. Its the first place my husband and I traveled together when we were dating and it holds a very special place in our hearts. And of course we would probably try to catch as many cubs games as possible while there!

Jessie S. | 5:51 AM

Most memorable trip was when I spent 6 weeks in Europe with home base in Verona, Italy. Weekend trips around Italy and to Switzerland - amazing summer!
jessie(dot)atl(at)gmail(dot)com

Robyn | 5:56 AM

My most memorable vacation was going to visit family in Santa Barbara, CA when I was 8. We stayed in a rented villa in a golf community, went to the beach everyday, and just explored all of the local places. So much fun!

My family and I are planning on going to Chicago this summer, and I'm super excited about it!

LittlePika | 6:03 AM

Many memorable trips (and hotel stays) over the years, but probably the best to date was a very belated (4 years!) honeymoon trip to China. Three amazing weeks including hiking up a mountain for 3 days and spending nights in monasteries with extremely rustic conditions. But the monks and nuns were just lovely to us and made us feel at home! Hooray for vacations!

megan | 6:09 AM

I loved my trip to San Francisco and wine country with my hubby. We were there for a wedding, so didn't plan any adventures. Being able to just relax and enjoy the trip was wonderful (as was the scenery)!

Meghan | 6:24 AM

OMG tiny robe! I think my best adventure was our honeymoon to New Zealand, we rented a campervan and drove all over the country with my husband. Very opposite to the Four Seasons but I promise we scrub up well.

J&M'sMom | 6:24 AM

Memorable 2009 trip to the mountains of North Carolina w/ our 3.5 year old and 5 year olds and two other families...bee stings and a $500 ER visit (out of network, folks!)...beautiful split-log bunk beds, blown bedtimes and escalating sleep deprivation...campfire s'mores and a camera broken by gooey marshmallows...hiking through the woods with little kids holding giant walking sticks...panning for gold and visiting an damp, dark old gold mine and souvenier goofy red plastic miner's helmets...bears raiding the trash bins, horseback riding through gentle rain in the mountains...the usual unforgettable roller-coaster of traveling with small kids!!! (The Ritz and some room service sounds GREAT!)

Karo | 6:25 AM

My favorite trip of all time was a road trip we took with hubby - North Italy, Southern France, Switzerland in 10 days. It was so much fun. Sounds like you guys had a blast too. We rarely get to vacation so a little nudge from Four Seasons would be amazing!

Head table | 6:29 AM

Most memorable getaway was to San Fran w/ my husband. I just found out a I was pregnant. I fell in love with the city. Future trips will be to Disney w/ the kids and Paris/London w/ hubby (hopefully) for anniversary.

Kim | 6:35 AM

I want to go to Paris and spend days touring art museums.I will make it happen someday.

Anonymous | 6:36 AM

Our most memorable trip was, without a doubt, a trip we took to Italy before we had kids. I had never been to Europe prior to that and I was simply blown away! Can't wait to go back again sometime with the kiddos.

Happy travels!

LauraES | 6:41 AM

One day I hope to visit Champagne, France and taste vintage Champagnes from my birth year at every major producer. I have to make millions first, though!

awordartisan | 6:41 AM

I drove cross-country with a friend and my dog, from L.A. through Las Vegas, Southern Utah, Grand Canyon, and Santa Fe. Everything between Santa Fe and TN was kind of sad, but we had a great time on our adventure!

LauraES | 6:43 AM

One day (after making my millions) I hope to travel to France and taste vintage Champagnes from my birth year at all the major producers.

Zankyou | 6:43 AM

My most memorable trip was to Malta. But haven't had a proper trip in ages!

anika ame | 6:44 AM

my mom and sisters and i took a cruise to jamaica. we had an amazing time, and i'd love to go back again.

Sarahd | 6:50 AM

I did the all-inclusive, girls-only, post-college graduation thing to Mexico with two friends back in (gracious!) 1998. View of the bay, swim up bar at the pool, food/drinks available 24/7. It was nine days of AWESOME for a 19-year-old!

Unknown | 6:54 AM

My most memorable getaway, was a camping trip with a bunch of jr.high girls. Highlights? Contaminated lake water and an unfortunate dip in a goose poop infested pond. Best. Trip. Ever.

Katie Jane | 6:56 AM

The most memorable trip I've ever taken was my honeymoon. Which is probably a cliche answer. I got married last October, and we went to Italy: Rome, Florence, Siena, and Montalcino. (And we stayed at the Four Seasons in Florence!) Italy is incredible, and to be there with my new husband was perfect. We ate gelato, drank prosecco, ate the best food ever, and wandered the streets wherever we were.

Susannah | 7:00 AM

When I was maybe 7 or 8, we took an extended family vacation to Kiawah Island in South Carolina. It was me, my sister and my parents but also grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and we stayed in this giant house on the beach. I think we were there for about 2 weeks and some of my favorite memories from my childhood are from that trip.

Anonymous | 7:05 AM

When we vacation, we usually stay with family to save money. It's cool, I like them, but it limits us on the number of places we can go. I'd love to go to DC and stay somewhere fabulous, like the Four Seasons! (If they have one there, must google.)
So happy for your fam and your adventures in NY!
Courtney

My most memorable vacation, of very few, was a recent one I took with my sister to Montreal. We are best friends and had the best time.

Anonymous | 7:10 AM

My most memorable trip would probably be the first trip I took to NYC. What a great giveaway! I would love to win!

Jen | 7:13 AM

It looks like you've had such a great time. One of my favorite trips of all time was we went to Boston (from Philadelphia) with our two boys. They were 7 and 5 at the time. It was the PERFECT weekend. The boys were the perfect age to really enjoy themselves. We at at little "dive" restaurants and even got to see at game at Fenway Park. We're having a "surprise" baby in the fall so I've been really looking back on all of the fun things we've done as a family of four. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

Gabie | 7:15 AM

Favorite trip would probably be the last one I took to San Francisco. What an amazing city!

Unknown | 7:16 AM

I would have to say the most memorable trip was the one my husband and I took as our 'honeymoon', albeit a year and a half after we got married. We did a 7 day cruise, 5 day land tour of Alaska. It was breathtaking and amazing and we met some really good friends on that cruise.

Second would be driving cross country in the middle of summer with two cars and both of our kids when we moved from CA to MI.

Ari Lindquist | 7:19 AM

A memorable vacation? A trip to France with my father (who has since passed) for my high school graduation present. Roadtripping from Paris to Normandy with my French speaking, French loving Papa who grew up there when he was in High School.
Trip I want to take? A ridiculously relaxing vacation somewhere beautiful with my two and a half year old. Somewhere where the water is warm and smoothies are flowin.

Jessica | 7:19 AM

When I was about six months pregnant with our son, we took a vacation to Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. We stayed in a rented villa with a pool. I remember beautiful mornings on the beach in Spring Bay- it was what I visualized during labor a few months later.

Meg | 7:21 AM

Corsica. I went for five days with my boyfriend (now husband) and three friends. We found this secluded beach that required either a 4x4 vehicle or a sailboat to get to. There was a tiki hut serving drinks, food, and playing great music. We hung out all day. It was perfection. The rest of the trip was amazing too. Each day we drove to a new town and explored. For me, it was the perfect balance of exploring, relaxing, great food, and good friends.

oh, jenny mae | 7:23 AM

wow! they come out of the woodworks for the giveaways!

i still love you.

ben & i were just talking about renting an airstream & driving all over the states someday. or buying open-ended tickets to europe. we can't wait to retire.

Meg | 7:24 AM

My most memorable trip was either my honeymoon last year or the first time I went to NYC. NYC was everything I expected it to be and more. I loved it.

Anonymous | 7:24 AM

I don't really have a goood one as an adult because we've yet to have one - so I guess I'd have to say the trip we took to Panama City when my brother and I were 9 & 10. If I won this, my lovely husband and I would spend a romantic weekend away together sans the four little girls that are currently running our lives - lol!

MK | 7:30 AM

I grew up as one of five kids in our family, and my parents were major savers. Thus, we never really took a "vacation" to anywhere that wasn't a relative's house within driving distance. At the end of this month, my husband and I are going to Playa del Carmen on our honeymoon (which is also my first real vacation)! The trip I'd most like to take, though, is one like you got to have with your kids, once I have my own. I'd love to give them a memorable experience like that. Looks like you all had such a wonderful, happy time!

Dana | 7:34 AM

My most memorable family vacation was one we took to NYC. Being a small town girl, I was in awe of all the people, places, and things to see. We were total tourists: checking out all the sites, chatting with locals on the subway, and catching a Broadway show. It was wonderful!

Anonymous | 7:35 AM

Oh this is so needed in my life right now! Hubby & I would take this and use it as an opportunity to have the honeymoon we never had! (yeah, I know, so sad, blah, blah, blah!) But we really would and it would be tres romantique! crystynurse@yahoo.com

Lara | 7:37 AM

The best vacation I ever took was our honeymoon. We went all out and got the best room at a Sandals in Jamaica. We had a private butler and spent days in the sun and really enjoyed being newly married.

Whitney | 7:40 AM

My "honeymoon" - we got married, I was 9 weeks pregnant, and sick as a dog (as I am now, both pregnant and sick). We were married in Austin at the Salt Lick, stayed at a hotel downtown, and then got in my car and drove 1100 miles, non-stop (except for gas and to potty) to Chicago so my husband could go to work. I drove the whole way because he can't drive stick. Best/worst trip of my life. We still haven't "honeymooned" but are super happy, so in that way, the honeymoon continues.

Hawkeyegirl | 7:49 AM

Easy one-
The last major trip I took with my fiance. We went to Chicago to visit friends, see the Shedd Aquarium, visit Sue at the Field Museum and do all the tourist-y Chicago stuff. Navy Pier was very cool and we ate a mountain of deep-dish pizza. That was a few years ago. I lost him last September, he was 31 years old. Two weeks from today, the 9th would have been our 8 year anniversary. I miss him everyday.

Unknown | 7:52 AM

My most memorable trip was when we went to the grand canyon, were standing 10 feet away and not able to see it at all because of a crazy white-out. Luckily the trip was still fun, even though we didn't get to actually see anything.

dani | 7:58 AM

My favorite trip so far was a trip to Paris I took with my husband when he was still my boyfriend. It was sort of spur of the moment, and I have been dying to go back ever since.

So glad you are enjoying your time in my city:)

Sarah | 8:02 AM

I'd love love love to one day whisk my husband away to NYC for a weekend. I've only been there once and he's never been, and the only thing holding us back is the cost, and his fears about that. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Abbey | 8:02 AM

Once upon a time, deep into grad school when we'd been living on no money for sometime, we somehow cobbled together through various savings/coupony things a few nights at the Hyatt on the Hudson for our first real visit to New York City. The hotel and the weekend were fabulous.

(Ps. I did stay at Double Tree while taking the bar exam later and loved the cookies and atmosphere of calm during a stressful time).

My most memorable vacation was my Honeymoon to New York last summer. I got remarried after the death of my husband. My husband had dies December 15, 2008. 5 days before my 40th birthday, 10 days before Christmas....I was lucky enough to fall in love with a man who loved me and my 2 small children. He had also lost his spouse in 2008. We have a wonderful crazy family with 5 children now and are blessed and so lucky. Last year when we got married, we went to New York. It was the first time I had EVER gone away without my children. It was wonderful and magical and I love him so much for taking me away and being ok with me calling the kids a few times a day!!! That is my favorite vacation and it was just perfect!

Heather | 8:15 AM

One of my most memorable trips was to a new resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. When we arrived at the resort they asked us to have a drink at the bar while they finished readying our room.

Hours later, when my brother who was a baby at the time was in full melt-down mode, they said the room still wasn't ready but that we could hang out in a different room while they finished up. That room turned out to be occupied.

After many hours the hotel admitted that there was a small problem: the furniture hadn't arrived for our room yet and it was completely empty! It took into the evening for us to get in and get settled.

There was justice though: the hotel screwed up and never charged our credit card for the stay so while it was a disaster at least it was a free disaster.

My hands-down most memorable trip would be the time my papa took my sisters and I to Florida for a few days because he insisted that we finally see a "real beach." (We live in Texas and the beaches here are meh... at best.) And it was beautiful and awesome, and I will never forget it. My papa was amazing like that, and that trip will be one that I never forget, especially now that he is no longer with us. Sadly, I haven't done much traveling (though I want to SO VERY BADLY), so Florida may not seem like much to anyone else, but it meant the world to me... and always will.

First, the robe is cute, but the tiny slippers slay me. SO cute.

I have loved most of the trips I've taken with my family, and none stand out as better than others. I love exploring new places with my kids, and we have some great stories to share.

Denise | 8:25 AM

Vacation at Four Seasons? Yes, please!

My most memorable has been to Roatan, Honduras where my husband convinced me to TRAVEL WITHOUT A PLAN. Something I never do. I usually have an itinerary, or at least know the address of where i am staying.

For this trip, he convinced me to "wing it". And it was so much fun.

Your post made me think of a fabulous weekend at a fabulous hotel with my best friend. We spent as much time as possible enjoying every aspect of our suite, got massages, ate at girly places and went out to get tipsy.

Anonymous | 8:34 AM

The most memorable? My honeymoon! We went to Greece and had a fabulous time, once my husband woke up...after sleeping for the first 48 hours! Ahhhh, Marriage!

theparakeet | 8:34 AM

Last Year my husband and I got to go on a Western Carribean Cruise. I earned it through work and we had never done anything like that. No child. No cell phone. No logistics to figure out - TOTAL RELAXATION. Some day we'll do it again...

KristineLacefield | 8:36 AM

Most memorable vacation would probably be my wedding in Nevada! It was horrible. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. I am not married anymore. I think our wedding getaway was probably a sign for things to come.

Suzannah | 8:42 AM

I've had lots of memorable trips but the one place I've never been and am itching to go is NYC! Hmmmm this could really help!

tired | 8:43 AM

Ahhh, looks amazing! My most memorable trip was definitely our honeymoon to St. Lucia! We did nothing all day but drink mudslides & daquiris, eat the fresh fruit and catch of the day, and lay by the pool or on the beach. Very cliche and super lazy - my favorite kind of vacation!

Gwen | 8:44 AM

When my husband and I drove north throught BC and went up to Dawson City in the Yukon and along the Dempster Highway to Inuvik in the Northwest Territories. We loved Dawson and the terraine was beautiful. I also didn't realize I was pregnant with our first son, so my sensitivity to smells was understandable in hindsight. :)

Tricia | 8:48 AM

That looked so awesome! Sadly, we haven't had a family vacation yet so if we win, this would be it!

DCD | 8:48 AM

I traveled to Australia with my family in 7th grade. We visited Sydney, Melbourne, and Cairns. It was magical!

Most memorable? Camping our way across Europe to the wilds of northern Scotland last summer with my husband and our two preschoolers. Some of our best memories come from our crazy budget vacations like that, but I DEFINITELY wouldn't turn down a stay at the Four Seasons!

Heather | 8:49 AM

My most memorable trip just so happens to have occurred two weeks ago where I tagged along with my best girl peep on her business trip to Hawaii. Being an Irish lass and Midwest chic where I wrangled winters armed with mittens, scarves, boots and hot chocolate to combat up-to-my-nipples-in-snow, I never fancied the cliché ‘fun in the sun’. Read also: highly combustible and flammable fair-skinned maiden. But I figured, Hawaii was all the more tempting since all I needed to come up with was airfare. Did not expect to fall in love. DID. NOT. EXPECT. TO. FALL. Once off the plane I knew magic awaited me. The island breeze that twirled my sundress and may have given the locals a flash of pink was all the more reason to dance to the Tahitian and Samoan influenced tunes that by the end of the trip, took residence in my marrow. Never have I felt more carefree, laid back and beautiful than I did on that trip to Hawaii. My greatest fear is I never will again. Holding with a mighty tight grip to every magical moment going forward, Hawaii, the benchmark of my life—all that came before and all the breathtaking moments that I hope come after.

Melissa | 8:49 AM

My most memorable vacation was a trip to Vegas I took with a group of my co-workers. As the only single girl and the youngest in our band of merry pranksters, I showed everyone how to have a good time. The city hasn't been the same since. ;)

My most memorable trip i would would be when we got married in tahoe. Our immediate family and our two best friends were there to join us in the next chapter in our life and it by far has been the best trip ever!

msobby | 8:53 AM

my most memorable trip was our honeymoon in belize. i had never flown or been out of the country. it was amazing! we will be celebrating our 20 year anniversary in september in new york and would love to be able to stay at the four seasons :)

Moxie | 8:53 AM

My most memorable trip would have to be to Copenhagen, when I was able to tag along with my husband while he was on business. We met locals, thanks to the work he was doing there, and generally just loved every minute. I shopped and checked out museums and met up with my husband for dinner every night he was working. It was also just prior to Christmas, and the city was decorated so sweetly. The climate was good for exploring, even in the winter. I hope to go back!

Britta | 8:53 AM

Most memorable was my study abroad to Malta in college.

Right now, I'd love to take my family to New York City. We've never been.

Sara | 8:53 AM

The most memorable vacation we had was a trip to Florida and then a short cruise to the Bahamas....the hotel we stayed in was a dive and the cruise boat left much to be desired but we laughed the whole and time and would go back in a heart beat!

Mary | 8:55 AM

At the end of last month my fiance, 2 1/2 year old son and I went a couple of hours to Williamsburg, VA just for the night. It was the first time our son had stayed in a hotel (he loved it!) and it was the first time my fiance and I had stayed somewhere, other than home, together in years! It was short (wish it was longer, but alas, the fiance works 7 days a week), sweet and just what we needed!

caitlin | 8:55 AM

Wow! My most memorable trip would have to be my honeymoon/wedding trip. We took a road trip around Montana and stayed in forest service cabins and eloped in Virginia City. It was awesome!

Leah | 9:02 AM

My favorite family vacation was when we took our 2 kids to NYC. We had lived there in our youth and moved away when we decided to have kids. Bringing them to the city we began our marriage in and showing them all the touristy and non-touristy things was so much fun! We stayed at a friends teeny tiny studio apartment and my son upon leaving wrote a note that to this day makes me giggle, "Thank you for letting us stay in your room."

ada | 9:13 AM

our 10 day vacation in the carribean. we chartered a sailboat. it was wonderful.

Meg | 9:22 AM

I don't know if I'll ever be able to top spending a semester in Rome + following summer backpacking around Europe at the age of 19.

benandsherie | 9:35 AM

Paris was my most memorable trip. Trying to live a life less ordinary, on an ordinary budget. We splurged on food, not accommodations. saw everything, and almost got engaged at Versailles, which is a long funny story on it's own.

Sable | 9:35 AM

My most memorable trip was a three-day jaunt to Vegas in JULY when I was pregnant with my second child. The worst part? Stopping at every bathroom on the strip. The best part? Dragging a lounge chair into the pool and submerging my baking body. Heavenly.

Lou Lou Belle | 9:37 AM

I recently chaperoned a high school service trip to guatemala. it was an AMAZING experience....but it's a close runner up to me and three of my besties in a prius for three weeks driving from indiana, to maine, and back to alaska!

Becky F | 9:39 AM

My most memorable vacation was our honeymoon. A week at a B&B in Barcelona, a week meditteranean cruise including stops at Pisa, Rome, Nice, etc. AMAZING.

Amelia | 9:40 AM

I have never gone the luxury hotel route (though I would sincerely love to, as would most of the world), but I have done the backpack through Europe and Ecuador and Bali and Hong Kong on $10-or-as-little-as-possible-a-day thing. All the trips have been memorable, but the one I will remember most fondly was the trip I took to Bali with my best friend, her boyfriend, and my boyfriend (now husband), who proposed to me on top of a volcano at sunrise. We hiked an impossibly long way in the dark, I was wearing fish-patterned pajama pants, and he was all sweaty. It was heaven. Then we all got food poisoning at the restaurant afterwards. But we lived happily ever after and now have a 2.5-year-old and a baby due in late June!

Mar | 9:44 AM

Our most memorable trip was a 10 day get away to Paris! We really got to relax and enjoy the city and the culture. It was amazing and Parisians were really kind and courteous!

Robin | 9:44 AM

When we got married 8 years ago, I desperately wanted to honeymoon on Prince Edward Island (I was obsessed with Anne of Green Gables growing up). Turns out it's not such a hot spot for honey moon-ers. Now that we're an old married couple though...maybe some day.

JR Morber | 9:47 AM

Just before getting pregnant with my son, my husband and I backpacked through Europe for two weeks. He had never been, and I so enjoyed showing him some of my favorite places. I would so love to go back, this time with my son, and explore Barcelona.

Ivy Wang | 9:49 AM

Fun! I've never stayed at a Four Seasons. I love all the things they did for your kiddos.

Anonymous | 9:50 AM

The weirdest one was when I went to CA to see my husband's family with our 9 month old child, and learned I was pregnant again while we were there! I will certainly remember that one forever.

Fulfilling my childhood dream of visiting Australia was by far my most treasured and memorable trip. I used to pore over picture books full of Koala's and the Opera House. Deep down I never thought it would actually happen and when at age 29 it finally did. It was an amazing place.

Unknown | 9:53 AM

We did a big National Parks trip when I was 8 that I will never forget. Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Zion. Amazing.

Christy | 9:53 AM

My favorite (kidless) vacation was when my husband and I, along with three other couples, chartered a sailboat (BY OURSELVES, NO CAPTAIN!!) for 8 days in the Caribbean. Trip of a lifetime!!

Kayley Maybe | 9:54 AM

I've been thinking a lot lately about the trips I would LIKE to take when the kids are older (19 month old daughter, next baby due in November). Costa Rica is high on my list - teaching the kids about culture, the environment, and how to have fun in low-rent settings.

For my most memorable getaway, it's hard to narrow down, but I think I would go with the Canadian Rockies/Banff National Park in Canada. I've been to Europe twice and it was great each time, but there's something about standing in the beautiful Rocky mountains being surrounded by unparalleled beauty that centers me.

Issa | 9:55 AM

The best trip I've take in years was to NYC for BlogHer last summer. I'd never been to NYC and I adored every single second of my trip...except for leaving. I loved the food and the tall buildings. I even loved crazy cab rides.

I'd love to go back and take my kids.

ps. The photo of Fable in the wee robe killed me. Love it.

Stephanie Garrett | 9:55 AM

We want to go to Disney in Orlando as a family soooooo bad. It'll probably be 3 more years before we attempt the trip, because like you I'm expecting (#3).
Love your site & congrats on the babies!

Flambo | 9:55 AM

Cruising through Europe in a rented RV with my family (5 people total) was an experience that was both amazing and excruciating - and my brothers and I still can't stop laughing about it, 25 years later, which is why it is definitely my most memorable vacation.

Laura | 9:57 AM

We haven't been able to take a vacation as a family yet... would love to be able to take the whole family to Big Bear Lake and enjoy the great outdoors together!

Vicky vlothrop@suffolk.edu | 9:59 AM

Damn straight I'll be commenting on this one! My husband and I went to Jamaica for a truly relaxing 5 days in Negril. Found out once I got home I was 6 weeks preg. with my now 17month old. Wowzers. Talk about the end of an era. I think a lil family fest at four season sounds lovely! You can still lay on your lil belly! You looks great by the by.

chisparoja | 9:59 AM

BEST trip ever was to Spain. I absolutely fell in love with the people, the culture, the way of life... I ended up staying for a year. Can't wait to go back!

MB | 10:00 AM

It's a tie between that one time six of us drove an ancient compact Volvo with one headlight to Rosarito and that other time that I didn't go to Coachella and enjoyed a lovely and slightly-less-populated city with my boyfriend instead.

Leigh | 10:09 AM

How marvelous! Our best trip as a family has to be our last trip to Todos Santos, Mexico. Watching our 3 year old boogie board for the first time and just fall in love with the beach experience was such a treat!

Amber Paul | 10:09 AM

Best trip ever was my wedding/honeymoon on the island of St. Kitts. Just me and my guy all by ourselves for 12 days in perfect tropical (wedded) bliss. We spent every day on the beach and had a very memorable (overheated) scooter ride around the island where the brakes nearly failed and we couldn't turn off the scooter because it wouldn't turn back on if we did. It's my dream to someday visit the Four Seasons on Nevis (St. Kitts sister island).

We went to Disney World last September for my best friend's 30th birthday. That in itself was enough to make it the best vacation ever but being on the receiving end of a surprise marriage proposal was what really put it over the top!

grace | 10:12 AM

Wow, that looks awesome! My partner and took a trip to London this past fall that was my most memorable trip--everything was just perfect.

Catherine | 10:14 AM

Visiting friends in Newport, RI with my mom when I was 11. It was a rare trip without my other 5 siblings and I felt like a princess the whole time!

Trial Runner | 10:15 AM

Thanks for the amazing giveaway. Most memorable trip...perhaps my introduction to the Netherlands on a ten-day trip with my then-boyfriend, now-husband, after not seeing eachother for a summer. His father's family is Dutch and he loves everything about the place, so to be there with him was to be let in on a part of him that I didn't/couldn't really know before. I already loved the man, and I fell in love with the country as well -- hard not to love a place with quirky wooden shoes, sprinkles with bread and butter for breakfast and happy yellow trains everywhere.

Cathryn | 10:16 AM

We got married in NYC! We each took our best friend, and we spent the week sightseeing & eating our way around the city! It was the BEST! We got married on Friday in Central Park. Best week of my life.

A trip to Newport, RI with my mom when I was 11. It was a rare vacation without my other 5 siblings and I felt like a princess!

Carra Nicholes | 10:24 AM

My most memorable trip was our first visit to Chicago. I fell in love with the city the second we stepped off the plane. We go back annually for the pizza and popcorn!

Natalie | 10:25 AM

My favorite trip ever is one my husband and I took last year to see the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. The landscapes literally left us speechless. We spent the whole trip staring at nature and planning to come back with our kids someday. Our twin boys are 3 1/2 months, and I can't wait until they're big enough to hitch a mule ride into the canyon, and to ride horses through the Navajo desert.

Pam | 10:26 AM

It may sound boring, but I just had a wonderful time in Seattle in May of 2010. Like a mini family reunion, the 3 of us with our little extended families. Me, my brother and my mom. It had been too long, and it will probably be another while. But it was amazing.

EvilCleopatra | 10:28 AM

I would love to go on a vacation with my boyfriend this summer. We haven't been on vacation together in the year and a half we've been together. He was laid off shortly after I moved in with him. Luckily, I still had a job at the time, so we could still make ends meet, but alas, I work in television, and now I am laid off too; any chance of us going on vacation together gone, another summer. Even if it was just for a night, it'd be AH-maaaazing to be able to get away and not worry about things for a few moments. We'd probably either go down south, or near the water!

chill | 10:32 AM

My most memorable was my honeymoon, spent at the Four Season in the Maldives. Quite the trek, but amazing!

Cathy | 10:33 AM

Most memorable was Paris in spring with my hubby. Can't wait to go again with my little one.

Shelby | 10:35 AM

A trip to Germany and Switzerland to see where my grandparents grew up (and to celebrate my 16th birthday). Best. Present. Ever. I only hope to take my family there one day.

Carrie | 10:35 AM

My most memorable trip would have to be a couple of years ago, my (now) husband, his daughter, nephew and I went to Cedar Point, OH. We absolutely love roller coasters. He proposed to me on this trip. Sadly not ON a roller coaster. He wanted to but was too afraid he would drop the ring!

Shelby | 10:36 AM

A trip to Germany and Switzerland to see were my grandparents grew up (and celebrate my 16th birthday). Best. Present. Ever. I only hope to take my family there someday.

Washee Woman | 10:37 AM

My most memorable trip was to France when I was 17. I am a total Francophile and I fell in absolute love with the country/culture/history/architecture. My only lament was not having someone special to share my experience. Now my husband and I are planning a trip to Europe once our three daughters are old enough to really get the whole experience. That gives me time to study the zagats and really plan a once in a lifetime adventure!

Leslie | 10:41 AM

My favorite trip was the year everyone in my family (parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) all went to Cancun. It was the first time that large of a group of our family ever went on vacation together. It was before any of us started having babies, so we just laid on the beach drinking ourselves silly, dancing to the best cover band in the resort lobby after dinner (they rocked Journey with the best spanish accents ever!), riding golf carts like maniacs all over La Isla Mujeres... I could go on, or just say it was a blast. I would love to be able to get us all together again.

Karen | 10:46 AM

My favorite trip was my honeymoon in Portugal in 2008. BUT the trip I most want to take is ANY TRIP! My husband and I have a 10 month old and we're starting to get that itch to take the baby and get away for a vacation somewhere!

Chriss | 10:50 AM

I am hoping to plan a trip to New York (my first time!) with my husband and two kids this fall. It will be our 16th anniversary and we want to do something memorable. We can do some daytrips to other areas and Fall on the East Coast sounds perfect!

Tracy Altman | 10:51 AM

My most memorable trip was a 10-day trip to India in 2004. My best friend was marrying her wonderful Indian husband and 7 of us came along for the ride - and what a ride it was. India is beautiful, enriching, shocking, thought-provoking, amazing and so, so, so different from the US. I can't wait to go back in 2014! :)

Becky | 10:52 AM

Best Trip I ever took? Hmmm...toss up between my semester abroad in London when I was in college, and my honeymoon in Venice, Italy.
London was amazing and historical and so full of history and hallowed ground and this incredible respect for the Arts (I was interning at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre).
Venice was just....sublime. We went in November, so not tourist season, and it was quiet and romantic and...well, there just aren't words. We didn't have a lot of money when we went (nothing's changed in that regard!) but we didn't have to...we spent hours and hours wondering the city on foot. A historic reproduction map of Venice we bought there is framed and hangs on our wall. It brings a huge smile to my face every time I see it.

Val | 10:53 AM

About four years ago I took a Birthright trip to Israel. It was life-changing and awesome and slightly scary. There is something strange about being in such a volatile place in the world when you have spent your whole life in the suburbs.

Kelley | 10:54 AM

Hubs and I have been blessed to go on some fabulous vacations together. One of the best was our San Diego "babymoon" before our first little one was born. We walked on the beach, did a little shopping, ate at some of our favorite restaurants, and spent hours talking about our soon-to-be little guy, and how great it was going to be.

Karen Byrne | 10:55 AM

My most memorable getaway was nothing particularly special, but it was when I was a child and we would go to the Adirondacks. Whenever I went on vacation there with my family and some childhood friends, it felt like the world stopped and there was nothing but the beauty of nature and family. I hope to share those same memories with my family one day.

have a great vacation!

Jo | 10:56 AM

I took a wonderful vacation to Venice with my mom. Some people say it's overcrowded, but we had great luck and everything was magical. I was glad we got to experience it together.

Myssie | 10:57 AM

We recently went to Boston, rode the bus and the "T" (trolly/subway system) with our kids (5 and 1 years old). To see the wonder and awe in my son's eyes was amazing.

UL | 11:03 AM

My husband and I never went on Honeymoon or took a vacation by ourselves since the kids arrived. This past March we spent a night in a hotel in a near by city. Even though we were just away for 24 hours it was the best vacation ever. After 13 years together we were able to fell sparkles of the first time dating again. Highly recommend.

Anonymous | 11:03 AM

I doubt I'll win because I never do, but this one is too good to pass up!! :)

Best trip ever - Camping with my Mom and Brother when I was 11... It had been a big planned trip when my dad canceled it on us at the last minute, but then come monday morning my mom was all... Uh, heck no, we're going camping!!" and she packed my brother and I up, figured it all out and away we went and the 3 of us had the best time ever!! (sorry dad!)

I've never been to the west coast, so some day soon, I'd live to RV it up with my hubby and son and head west! :)

My husband and I never took a Honeymoon or went on vacation after kids arrived. This past March we spent a night in a hotel in a near by town. Even though we were only away for 24 hours it was the best vacation ever. After 13 years together we still have sparks for each other.

Jo | 11:07 AM

I was lucky enough to backpack through Europe before I unexpectedly got pregnant. (sound familiar?) The most amazing moment was in Florence, when my best friend and I went to the Pitti Palace gardens. It started to rain and everyone left, but we stayed, running though those gardens hand in hand, twirling around like little girls, jumping inside fountains, soaking wet, without a care in the world. I'm so freakin' glad I got to do that before motherhood and marriage happened, and I hope I get to do something like it once again.

Mary | 11:08 AM

Definitely our honeymoon. Sleeping in, room service, and open bar. It was heavenly

Lindseyamador | 11:08 AM

I spent six months trVeling all over Europe in 2002. By May we had been on the road for five months and were in Turkey. As pricing there is always negotiable, we decided to see how low the Four Seasons in Istanbul would go. After hostels, we just wanted a bath! They went very low and were so gratious! Unfortunately we still couldn't afford it but I will always remember how nice hey were to us! I can't wait to take my family back to Turkey so I would save the voucher for hat very hotel!!

Tasha Imajin | 11:10 AM

My favorite vacation was the five day blur when my husband and I flew from Seattle to Niagara Falls, NY to elope. We picked up or license one day, got married the next, went to Canada for a couple days, then flew back home. It was short, so sweet, and perfect.

triple e | 11:12 AM

an island in maine in september, bright and quiet, long after the summer cousins and caravans have departed, we watched the days shorten before our eyes, backs on the shell beach, faces warmed one last time.

My husband and I never got a honeymoon, so I would love to take a trip to Europe. We've always wanted to go, but just haven't had the resources to do so.

In Nassua, Bahamas ... on the way to Paradise Island bridge from the airport, to the left of the road, there is a little hut way out in the water from where it looks like we are sitting at the edge of the world, just water and nothing else with a few boats on the horizon ... tranquility.

My most memorable trip was New Zealand! My first trip away from the US and it was magical! The scenery and people were beautiful!

Karen Ilene | 11:20 AM

I love the Four Seasons NYC! It's such a great hotel and they have the best hand lotion in the world. My most memorable trip has definitely been my study abroad on Semester at Sea. We traveled the Mediterranean to Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Egypt, and Morocco. I am so blessed to have been able to go on this great adventure, and I will definitely remember and cherish it for the rest of my life. I came back to college a changed person with a greater appreciation for how small we can be compared to the huge things going on in our world.

Natalie | 11:27 AM

My most memorable vacation is a trip I took with my husband last year to the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. The scenery literally left us speechless. We kept talking about how we wanted to come back some day and to take our kids with us. My favorite vacation (pre-kids) was in St. John's, Newfoundland. It was there, overlooking the sea from Signal Hill, that my husband proposed. Writing that just gave me butterflies. :)

Jennifer | 11:34 AM

Our last big trip was to Kauai over Christmas and I found out I was pregnant with baby #2. It was quite a shock because we were planning to wait another year but we're now thrilled about the idea. The kids will be 19 months apart, which should be fun and a lot of work. We'd LOVE a getaway at the Four Seasons. Oohh la la!

ThatGirlRuns | 11:45 AM

My most memorable trip happened three years ago when we went to Venice for the first time. Until then London had been my most favorite city, but Venice in August under blue skies and balmy sunshine was the most magical experience ever.
One day I would love to travel through India by train, see the Taj Mahal at dawn and Jodhpur, the blue city, at dusk.

Alyssa | 11:46 AM

My memorable getaway was Valentines Day 2007 the year of our engagement. We went to Port Townsend, WA which is the cutest little town with shops and 50's diners, it was romantic and relaxing.

I have yet to see New York City! Would love to use this win as an excuse to finally go!
