As a gigantic Red House Painters/Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon fan I fell out of my chair when today's* Yo Gabba Gabba took pause from the usual awesomeriffic comput-a-tronic dance numbers to play the following clip featuring the unmistakable Kozelekian vocals. Enjoy:
Lovely.
Yo Gabba Gabba was my favorite kid's program before, but now? I'm Tivo'ing every episode for myself. Brilliant. Just... yeah. I could not recommend it more. To parents. Children. Old people. Young people. Dogs. Monsters under the bed. Cyclopses. Et al.
Here's a double-encore presentation (The Salteens: Episode #1) if you're still not convinced:
Bravisimo, dudes. Thanks for the memories.

*It was a rerun from back in August that I apparently missed.

As a fellow Kozelek fan, I salute you! How awesome would a children's album by that man be? Not that the ac/dc covers aren't lullaby enough...
Do you like the doodlebops?
I have to keep multiple episodes on our DVR because after seeing one Yo Gabba Gabba my son always shouts "MORE!"
(I like the dancing frog cartoon.)
Love Yo Gabba Gabba. It is Cordy's favorite show now, and it's the only show that has ever made her get up and follow directions to learn dance moves. And we can now get her to try new foods by telling her it wants to go "to the party in your tummy!"
YGG is my 4 y.o. son's fave show. I Tivo all the episodes and he watches them over and over. :)
My little girl and the monster under her bed both LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba. I have taken advantage of the iron transfers on their site and now all she wants to wear is her Broby shirt. Yes her fave is the little emo one. And I have to agree with weirdgirl, the frigs dancing was very cool, but when they put on the Run DMC glasses they were the coolest!
my pal sarah (and her husband evan dorkin) do the animation for this show. such a great show. dj lance forever!
How have I never seen this show when I have a 3 year old! The 5 and 8 year old might not like it as much. But I am totally looking for this.
We're big fans of Backyardigans here (lots of music and dancing by five CGI animal friends) but I'll have to add Yo Gabba Gabba to the Tivo lineup. Thanks for the tip!
Ever hear of a little known show Bossy likes to call *Sesame Street*? You young ones...
Love YGG! Screw "insert-top-primetime-tv-show-here" this is the real reason to have a DVR!!
Not of a fan of YGG.... just can't get into it. I am more of a Jack's Big Music Show on Noggin type of mom.
Love Sun Kil Moon. I could listen to Tiny Cities over and over and over again.
Sorry, I love RHP, SKM, and MK, but think Yo Gabba Gabba falls short. Here's my review:
